    i have never understood why the gov’t has any say in baseball…. could you explain that jurisdiction to me

    I think that specifically with steroids it has to do with illegal activity and a wider dangerous problem, or some sort of rationale like that.

    In general, baseball has an anti-trust exemption, which Congress can revoke at any time. So they kind of have them by the balls in that sense.
